New projects for 2021/2022
In accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the German Bundestag, the latest round of topic identification for new projects began in autumn 2020 with a request from the committee chairman Dr Ernst Dieter Rossmann to all committees and parliamentary groups of the German Bundestag. The approximately 30 topic proposals received as a result were examined by TAB for possible processing and project concepts were developed. On this basis, the members of the TA rapporteur group coordinated with their parliamentary groups and among themselves, so that the further work programme for 2021/2022 with the following 7 projects could be unanimously adopted in the committee meetings on 3 March and 5 May 2021:
- Crisis radar - Strengthening the resilience of society, politics and the economy by means of crisis prediction
- Strategies and instruments to improve the use of recycled materials
- Bacteriophages in medicine, agriculture and food - application perspectives, regulatory and innovation issues
- Opportunities and risks of hydrogen partnerships and technologies in developing countries
- Near-natural forest conversion in times of climate change
- Application potentials and challenges of artificial intelligence in education
- E-voting - alternative forms of voting and how to make them secure
For the first 5 launched projects, announcements on the preparation of external expert reports have already been published. We will provide information on our website regarding further search for experts.
